"Cuisine Diplomatique" is a play written in French, originally titled "On a Mangé le Chameau de M. Hollande".

It was based on a real incident, the camel offered by Mali to French President François Hollande ended up as dinner for the local family in charge of its custody.

The show was created in London and premiered at Voilà Festival in November 2014, directed by Berty Cadilhac. It was then played at the Avignon OFF Festival during summer 2015, and was picked up by Parisian Théâtre Daunou. Unfortunately the terrorist Paris attacks in November 2015 led to an end of the run after 10 weeks.

The play was re-launched under a new name ("Cuisine Diplomatique"), directed by Christine Renard. It went to Avignon in 2016 for 4 weeks, and to Chartres for 2 weeks.

Altogether the play was performed 125 times, and the text won the SACD "best comedy" award at Avignon OFF 2016.

The text is published by Editions Arts & Comédie.
